The Living Room: July Edition
Join us for The Living Room’s fourth community gathering at Brave New Spaces in 447 Minna.
What is the project about?
Longest days. Warm nights.
Heat shapes how we move through the world. It pulls us outside, stretched the evening and changes the rhythm of daily life. People linger a little longer, conversations run a little deeper, and music spills further into the street.
The Meaning Behind Heat
For this Living Room, we’re exploring heat through sound. Tropical rhythms, dub, reggae, ambient textures, and bass-heavy selections create a space that feels slow, warm, and expansive.
As the city heats up, we turn toward sound rooted in warmer climates.

About San Francisco Classical Theater
SFCT poduces the great works of the classical repertoire: Shakespeare, Chekhov, Ibsen, Williams, the Greek tragedians, and the many writers whose work has shaped the human story. Classical theatre for our city — performed in its parks, on its coastlines, inside its historic buildings, in the places that give these plays life.

Island Bound: Film Screening and Listening Party
Join us for the world premiere of ISLAND BOUND, a short film by Sami See featuring a live musical performance of the film score by Pinay Voltron.
Catch a vibe and relax into an experimental sound and visual experience that explores fantasy and relational resilience through the female body and island landscape.
ISLAND BOUND documents queer-femme filipina performing artists Paula Bianca, Sami See, Mistress Joyen as a Sirena [mermaid], Diwata [fairy] and Lilim [spider], weaving movement disciplines of aerial hammock, underwater dance, rope flow, and roller skating to embody and story a singular question: when a flood meets your island, how will you move?
The original film score produced by Pinay Voltron will be performed live in the theatre. The hybrid atmospheric sound bath will journey you through a 1:1 percussive meditation, jungle vibes, and orchestral strings building on the film & visuals.
The premiere includes a special performance by Spain-based performance artist Mistress Joyen & more.
This event is part of the San Francisco API Cultural Center's annual United States of Asian America Festival: Common Ground.

PUSH Dance Company Spring Showcase
Join us for a spectacular showcase of dance artistry!
No Intermission | Moderated Post-Show Discussion
The Sanctuary Spring Showcase is PUSH Dance Company's celebration of the creative work that lives inside these walls — and this May, it all comes to the stage.
Over the past weeks, PUSH's Sanctuary Teachers developed original choreography with students in performance workshops, guiding them from concept to full work. Alongside them, the Sanctuary Resident artists bring their own original choreographic voices.
Two nights. Two cohorts of artists. One community showing up for each other.
What to expect:
Original choreography developed in PUSH's Spring Performance Workshops
New works by Sanctuary Residents
An intimate black box setting that puts you close to the work
A celebration of artistry, process, and the Sanctuary artists in action
Each show will be followed by a post-show discussion with the Artists
Whether you're a longtime member of the PUSH family or discovering us for the first time, this is a night worth showing up for.
