La Emperatriz/The Empress

The Empress by Malik Seneferu

I live inside the sacred architecture

Of seven directions

My crown is a canopy of stars

My spine a spiraled ladder

My root is an umbilical source of nourishment

The consensual constellation

Of my body

Is an expression of

The sovereign earth

Remembered

I am rematriation and regeneration

My truth is hidden

In fertile black

A buried seed swelling

In winter soil

Awaiting the warmth

Of a budding spring

I find safety in voluntary silence

I am a listening ear

A receptive womb

Thirteen changing faces of

Grandmother moon

I attune

To the gravitational pull

Of my purpose

I am water body dancing

In tidal rhythms

My conscious choices co-create

The conditions

From which wholeness and healing

Blooms

Of its own accord

I nurture chords of connection

With a more than human world

Through speaking to all my relations

In the voice of grief and praise

I open my arms to receive abundance

Gratitude sprouts from my tongue as

The morning sun rises into flight

Bestowing his generous light

My voice is growing

Into its fullness

And joy is awakened

When all my emotions

Feel welcomed

I am re-learning the sacred art

Of hospitality

Weaving myself back into

Belonging

I am the sacred architecture

Of seven directions

My crown is a canopy of stars

My spine a spiraled ladder

My root is an umbilical source of nourishment

I am connected

I am connected

I am connection.
