Intoxicated God

Fill the copas with the wine of Shiraz.

Raise your copas

For the weary God, deep-rooted and ancient.

Sprinkle water from the springs

On the God who sleeps for centuries

Ignoring this World in rage.

We want an intoxicated God

Happy and elated

Lord of Hope

With a commandment of bliss.

Dance.

Toe-to-toe

Dandelions are dancing.

News of the news came

Good news

That the sun is shining bright

That intoxicated God

Stopped commanding war and carnage

Stopped ordering crime and famine

Will stop commanding

Volcanoes and tsunamis.

Intoxicated God

Laughs

Dances

And fills human copas

With eternal wine.

I kiss you, copas of wine.

I caress you, intoxicated God!
